GCCL Infrastructure Reports FY26 Profit of Rs 13.62 Lakh Amid NCLT Restructuring

GCCL Infrastructure & Projects has posted a financial turnaround for FY26, reporting a profit after tax of Rs 13.62 lakh compared to a loss of Rs 122.51 lakh in the previous year. The company is actively executing an NCLT-approved resolution plan, which includes a significant reduction in share capital to streamline its balance sheet. Despite administrative hurdles stemming from a recent Income Tax search, the company is stabilizing its management and regulatory compliance processes.

GCCL Infrastructure Swings to FY26 Profit

Profit After Tax: Rs 13.62 Lakh | Total Income: Rs 59.99 Lakh

Reader Takeaway: Profitability marks a recovery, though capital restructuring and post-search operational stabilization remain critical focus areas for investors.

What just happened

GCCL Infrastructure & Projects Ltd has reported a net profit of Rs 13.62 lakh for the financial year ended March 31, 2026, marking a significant recovery from the Rs 122.51 lakh loss recorded in the previous fiscal year. The company's total income rose to Rs 59.99 lakh, up from Rs 0.86 lakh in FY25.

Why this matters

The return to profitability signals a stabilization phase for the company, which has been working through a debt resolution process. The board has also bolstered its leadership with new appointments, including Ms. Sheila Bharat Shah as Director and Mr. Sohitkumar Mehta as Company Secretary, following leadership changes earlier in the year.

The NCLT Resolution Plan

A core part of the company's revival is the NCLT-approved resolution plan from September 2023. The company is currently seeking BSE approval for a capital reduction. Under this plan, share capital is slated to drop from Rs 600.55 lakh to Rs 38.24 lakh, with the surplus of Rs 562.31 lakh being transferred to capital reserves to strengthen the balance sheet.

Operational Challenges

The company faced significant operational disruptions between May 14 and May 17, 2025, due to an Income Tax Department search at its corporate office. This event caused delays in regulatory filings and created temporary gaps in compliance regarding board meeting disclosures and the maintenance of the Structured Digital Database. Management states that these administrative lapses are being rectified.

What to track next

Investors should monitor the final approval of the capital reduction by the BSE and any further updates regarding the complete restoration of normal business operations post-IT search.
