The company purchased the stake from BW LPG Infrastructure DMCC for ₹1,13,42,434.29, approximately ₹1.13 crore, which was settled in cash and completed within seven days of finalization.
This transaction makes BW Confidence Enterprise a wholly-owned subsidiary of Confidence Petroleum India Ltd. The move is expected to streamline decision-making and improve operational efficiencies, allowing for better alignment with the parent company's broader business objectives. With full ownership, Confidence Petroleum gains direct oversight and control, enabling it to implement new strategies and capture 100% of the subsidiary's profits and losses.
Confidence Petroleum India Ltd. reported consolidated revenue of approximately ₹2,253.6 crore for FY23-24. The Indian LPG distribution and infrastructure sector, where BW Confidence Enterprise operates, features major public sector undertakings like Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL), Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL), and Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL), alongside companies such as Aegis Logistics Ltd involved in related terminal infrastructure.
