Century Plyboards Reports FY26 Revenue of ₹5,397.18 Crore; Eyes Future Expansion

Century Plyboards (India) Ltd posted consolidated revenue of ₹5,397.18 crore for FY 2025-26, marking a 19.2% increase over the previous year. The company confirmed an ambitious future capital expenditure of ₹2,500 crore to be deployed over the next five years.

Reader Takeaway: Strong revenue growth and a clear long-term capex roadmap signal expansion, though execution risks on new capacity remain.

What just happened

Century Plyboards has released its FY 2025-26 Sustainability Report, outlining both its ESG performance and financial health. The company recorded an EBITDA of ₹660.64 crore with a margin of 12.2%. Profit After Tax (PAT) stood at ₹268.33 crore. Most notably, cash generation from operations saw a sharp improvement to ₹558.12 crore, up significantly from ₹107.40 crore in the previous fiscal year.

Why this matters

The company has set a long-term revenue target of ₹12,000 crore by FY 2030-31. To reach this, it has committed to a ₹2,500 crore investment phase following the completion of its previous ₹2,000 crore expansion. The focus remains on diversifying its product portfolio across MDF, particle board, plywood, and laminates, while bringing distribution networks closer to end-consumption centers.

Environmental Initiatives

The company is pivoting toward sustainable sourcing and energy use. Currently, 98% of its timber is sourced through agroforestry, with a target to distribute 3 crore saplings by 2030. In terms of energy, 18% of its consumption is sourced from renewables, supported by 14.26 MW of installed solar capacity. Furthermore, 91% of its fuel consumption is derived from biomass and wood waste, as the company targets net-zero Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 2050.

Risks to watch

While the expansion plans are aggressive, the company faces execution risks regarding the ramp-up of new production facilities. Additionally, the effective management of raw material sourcing—given its reliance on agroforestry—remains a critical factor for maintaining margins in a competitive market.

What to track next

Investors should monitor the phase-wise deployment of the new ₹2,500 crore capex and the quarterly progress on reaching the ₹12,000 crore revenue milestone. The company continues to maintain a stable AA rating from ICRA.
