Brahmaputra Infrastructure Reports Strong Growth in Q2 FY2027

Consolidated revenue climbed to Rs 118.12 crore, while PAT rose to Rs 20.11 crore.

Reader Takeaway: Strong order book growth drives performance, though investors must track long-term debt repayment obligations and project execution.

What just happened

Brahmaputra Infrastructure delivered a robust second quarter for FY2027. Consolidated revenue reached Rs 118.12 crore, marking a 31% increase from the Rs 90.19 crore reported in the same quarter last year. Profit after tax (PAT) followed a similar trend, growing by 37% to Rs 20.11 crore compared to Rs 14.64 crore in Q2 FY2026.

Why this matters

The company is aggressively expanding its footprint, fueled by an order book now totaling Rs 2,064.47 crore. New orders worth Rs 317 crore were added this quarter, including strategic projects like a railway EPC contract on the India-Bhutan corridor and a major bridge over the River Ravi. These figures provide clear revenue visibility for coming quarters.

Segment Performance

The EPC division continues to be the primary engine of the business, contributing Rs 114.21 crore in revenue with a segment result of Rs 20.47 crore. The smaller Real Estate segment added Rs 4.76 crore in revenue with a segment result of Rs 3.83 crore.

Debt and Liabilities

Management detailed a sustainable debt position of Rs 116.94 crore. A key point for investors is the Rs 165.15 crore in interest-free OCCPS held by a lender consortium. Repayments for this instrument are set to commence in June 2027 and run through March 2034, which will be a significant cash flow factor in the long term. Outstanding bank guarantees currently stand at Rs 82.57 crore.

What to track next

The company’s ability to convert its Rs 2,000+ crore order book into billable revenue while maintaining margin discipline is the key metric. Investors should watch for updates on the execution timeline of the newly acquired railway and tunneling projects.
