Mr. Sami joined Banco Products in August 2023 as Chief Technical Officer, bringing over two decades of experience from the automotive and auto component industries. His career includes roles at Modine Thermal Systems, Tata Motors, and Stellantis India. He holds an M.E. from Anna University and an MBA from the University of Illinois. He was appointed Whole-time Director (Innovations) in 2025.
Banco Products has a history of investing in research and development, having launched products for hybrid and electric vehicles in 2022. The company had invested over INR 100 crores in modernizing its production facilities by 2023.
Mr. Sami's resignation follows a three-month notice period, which began on January 2, 2026. The company will initiate a search for a successor to fill these key technical and innovation leadership roles.
