Thangamayil Jewellery Reports Strong Akshaya Tritiya Sales
Thangamayil Jewellery Ltd announced impressive sales results for the recent Akshaya Tritiya period in FY 2026-27. The company's total revenue reached ₹279.27 crore, a substantial 75.87% increase compared to the ₹158.80 crore reported in the previous year.
Volume Growth Despite Higher Gold Prices
This significant revenue jump was achieved even as the price of gold increased by 59% year-on-year during the festive season. Thangamayil Jewellery saw its sales volume grow by 15.14%, reaching 183.20 kg, up from 159.11 kg in the prior year.
Non-Gold Segment Also Sees Strong Performance
The company's non-gold jewellery segment also showed robust growth, with revenue increasing by 61% to ₹17.99 crore. This compares to ₹11.17 crore in the same period last year, indicating healthy demand across different product categories.
Festive Demand Drives Performance
Akshaya Tritiya is a key sales event for jewellers in India, traditionally driven by consumer sentiment for purchasing gold. Thangamayil's performance highlights strong consumer demand during this critical period and its ability to attract customers despite rising gold prices. The dual growth in gold volume and the non-gold segment suggests broad appeal of its offerings.
