Stanley Lifestyles Expands Retail Network in Bengaluru
Stanley Lifestyles Ltd has significantly expanded its retail operations in Bengaluru, Karnataka, adding 28,000 square feet of new store space. The company inaugurated three new outlets on April 20, 2026, as part of its ongoing growth strategy.
The new openings include two 'Sofas & More by Stanley' stores located at Mysore Road (10,000 sq. ft.) and Gunjur (12,000 sq. ft.). A third outlet, a 'Hilker India' store operating under a license, is situated in a 6,000 sq. ft. space.
This expansion deepens Stanley Lifestyles' presence in the Bengaluru market, a key urban centre. The move is designed to capture increasing demand for premium home furnishings and decor, potentially boosting sales volumes and brand visibility.
Stanley Lifestyles, known for its premium upholstered furniture and home solutions, has prioritized retail network expansion since its 2023 IPO. The company had planned to use IPO funds for this growth and working capital. The Bengaluru initiative continues this strategy to reach more customers.
For shareholders, these new stores are expected to broaden the company's market reach and contribute to revenue growth in upcoming quarters. The expansion also enhances the visibility of both Stanley Lifestyles' own brands and its licensed brands like Hilker within the city.
The company operates in a competitive segment, facing rivals such as Godrej Interio, Durian, and Royaloak, many of whom are also expanding their networks. Stanley Lifestyles differentiates itself through a focus on premium quality and international designs.
Key challenges include intense competition from established players and online retailers, efficient management of new store operations, and sustaining premium demand amidst economic shifts.
Investors will be watching the sales performance and revenue contribution from the new stores, as well as customer footfall and initial sales trends for both 'Sofas & More' and 'Hilker India'. Management commentary on future expansion and consumer spending in the home furnishings sector will also be important indicators.
