Shringar House of Mangalsutra Reports Strong H1 Growth

Revenue grew 58.7% to Rs 1,367.15 crore while PAT rose 43.1% to Rs 73.47 crore.

Reader Takeaway: Robust top-line expansion led by bridal segment entry, though negative operational cash flow remains a core pressure point.

What just happened

Shringar House of Mangalsutra announced impressive H1 FY27 financial results, marked by significant growth across all key metrics. The company achieved a revenue of Rs 1,367.15 crore, compared to Rs 861.41 crore in the previous year's corresponding period. EBITDA also saw a healthy uptick of 40.8% year-on-year, landing at Rs 103.88 crore. On a quarterly basis, Q2 FY27 performance showed sequential momentum with revenue of Rs 818.7 crore and a net profit of Rs 39.5 crore.

Why this matters

The jump in revenue signals successful execution of the firm's growth strategy. A primary catalyst this period was the formal entry into the high-margin bridal jewellery space through the launch of four distinct collections—Aura, Shimmer, Imperia, and Prism. This move targets the significant share of Indian wedding spending allocated to gold jewellery, broadening the company's addressable market beyond its traditional mangalsutra focus.

Operational and Strategic Update

Operational scale has been bolstered by a Rs 15 crore investment in new machinery at a facility in Kandivali, which became operational in February 2026. This adds a production capacity of 4,000 kg per annum. Simultaneously, the company is decentralizing its sales network, opening new branch offices in Pune and Delhi and engaging third-party facilitators to penetrate Tier-2 and Tier-4 cities.

Risks to watch

Despite the positive bottom-line growth, the company faces margin pressure; gross margins contracted to 9.1% from 10.8% in H1 FY26. Additionally, the business model remains highly working capital intensive. While there was a notable improvement in operating cash flow from negative Rs 412.11 crore to negative Rs 77.91 crore, investors should monitor the sustained cash burn required to support this rapid expansion.

Context metrics

  • Debt/Equity ratio: 0.3x as of H1 FY27.
  • Capacity addition: 4,000 kg p.a. via Kandivali facility.
  • QoQ PAT growth: 16.1%.
