Mold-Tek Packaging Q2 Net Profit Surges 36% to Rs 21.06 Crore

Revenue grew 30.73% YoY to Rs 274.22 crore, while EBITDA improved to Rs 51.27 crore.

Reader Takeaway: Strong Pharma and FMCG volumes offset lubricants weakness, though raw material price volatility remains a key monitorable.

What just happened

Mold-Tek Packaging delivered a robust performance for the quarter ending September 2026. Net profit rose to Rs 21.06 crore, a 36.06% increase from the Rs 15.48 crore reported in the same period last year. Total sales volume reached 11,028.46 metric tonnes, marking a 10.08% growth compared to the previous year. Revenue from operations climbed significantly to Rs 274.22 crore, up from Rs 209.76 crore.

Segment Performance

The growth was primarily fueled by the Pharma and Food & FMCG packaging segments, which recorded impressive volume increases of 26.30% and 23.70%, respectively. The Paints segment saw a steady rise of 8.61%. However, the Lubricants segment faced a headwind, witnessing a volume decline of 12.32% during the quarter. Management noted that the strong performance of the high-growth segments helped successfully negate the seasonal softness typically observed in Q2.

Strategic Developments

Mold-Tek has successfully implemented price pass-through mechanisms with its clients to mitigate the impact of rising raw material costs. On the operational front, the company is integrating new printing facilities at Sultanpur, Telangana, to enhance efficiency. New client acquisitions, including Kannan Fiber Industries and Pharmaforce, have bolstered its order book. Looking ahead, the company is preparing for the commercialization of IODEX containers in Q3 and expects to launch eye dropper packs and innovative dual packs by Q4 FY27.

Risks to watch

Management has highlighted ongoing concerns regarding the volatile operating environment. Sharp fluctuations in raw material prices and potential supply chain constraints due to geopolitical instability remain key risks. The company continues to monitor these external factors to protect its margin profile while pursuing expansion into high-potential areas like semi-conductor packaging.
