Jubilant Ingrevia Posts Record Revenue of Rs 1,394 Crore

Net Profit Climbs 60% YoY to Rs 111 Crore

Reader Takeaway: Strong segment growth drives record earnings, but integration of the new electronics acquisition remains a key watch point.

What just happened

Jubilant Ingrevia reported its highest-ever quarterly revenue of Rs 1,394 crore for Q2 FY27, a 24% increase from the previous year. EBITDA saw a substantial 51% year-on-year rise to Rs 221 crore, the best performance in three years. The company's net profit reached Rs 111 crore, reflecting a 60% growth compared to the same period last year.

Why this matters

The company is successfully scaling its core business while diversifying into high-growth sectors. All three core segments showed double-digit revenue growth: Specialty Chemicals grew 16%, Nutrition and Health Solutions surged 50%, and Chemical Intermediates rose 24%. These results provide momentum for management to target the upper end of its annual guidance.

Strategic Acquisition: Zettaone Technologies

Jubilant Ingrevia has entered into an agreement to acquire a 40% stake in Zettaone Technologies for Rs 189 crore. This move marks the company's foray into electronics design and manufacturing services, specifically targeting the semiconductor supply chain. Management expects Zettaone to see 60%-70% growth this year, adding a new strategic vertical to the current chemical portfolio.

Growth Pipeline and Capex

The company currently has a pipeline of over 25 confirmed molecules with a peak revenue potential of Rs 1,500 crore, excluding its major CDMO contract. When including the CDMO project, the potential revenue climbs toward Rs 2,000 crore. To support this growth, Jubilant Ingrevia has earmarked an annual capital expenditure of Rs 400-500 crore, with the new Gajraula multipurpose plant slated for commissioning by year-end.

Risks to watch

Management noted persistent pricing pressure on base pyridine and B3 products, which is expected to influence Q3 results. Furthermore, the company must successfully navigate the operational integration of the Zettaone business and ensure the timely ramp-up of its CDMO contract to meet the projected revenue targets.
