Fairchem Organics Q2 Revenue Jumps 50% to Rs 167 Crore

Fairchem Organics reported a robust 49.7% year-on-year revenue growth in Q2 FY27, reaching Rs 167 crore. While top-line performance remains strong, shareholders should track the deferred launch of their new product and margin pressures stemming from European cosmetic market slowdowns and elevated US freight costs.

Fairchem Organics Reports Strong Q2 FY27 Revenue Growth

Revenue from operations reached Rs 167 crore with a net profit of Rs 10.2 crore.

Reader Takeaway: Revenue momentum is strong but watch for margin expansion delays amid global export headwinds and project deferrals.

What just happened

Fairchem Organics released its Q2 FY27 financial results, showcasing a 49.7% jump in revenue to Rs 167 crore compared to the previous year. For the half-year (H1 FY27), the company recorded total revenue of Rs 343 crore and a net profit of Rs 21.2 crore. EBITDA margins stood at 10.5% for the quarter. The company processed 12,200 tons of raw material and clocked sales volumes of 12,300 tons.

Operational Performance

Capacity utilization is currently hovering between 60% and 65%, with management targeting a steady 5% improvement per quarter. Realizations improved to Rs 135 per kg, up from Rs 130 per kg in Q1 FY27 and significantly higher than the Rs 106 per kg seen in Q2 FY26. The reduction in import duty on Crude Soybean Oil from 16.5% to 11% is expected to assist in raw material procurement stability.

Corporate Updates

Fairchem Organics completed a Rs 12 crore land acquisition from its promoter. The land was previously utilized for operations and worker housing. Additionally, the launch of a new product using novel technology has been pushed to Q3 as the company implements R&D-driven plant modifications.

Risks to watch

Management highlighted significant headwinds in export markets. The European cosmetic sector is experiencing a slowdown exacerbated by geopolitical issues. In the US, high freight costs have delayed export plans. Competitive pressure from global and domestic importers remains a persistent monitorable for shareholders.

Management Commentary

The leadership team remains cautiously optimistic for the second half of the year. While aiming for long-term EBITDA margins of 15%-18%, the company is currently focused on stabilizing operations at the current 10.3%-10.5% margin level. There are no immediate plans for further debt reduction or capital expansion, as the priority remains the successful commercialization of the new product line.
