Simmonds Marshall Q2 FY27 Financial Results: Strong Growth and Deleveraging

Revenue: Rs 69.71 Crore (+27.2% YoY) | PAT: Rs 4.83 Crore (+35.3% YoY)

Reader Takeaway: Robust top-line growth and effective debt reduction strengthen the balance sheet, though capacity utilization remains key.

What just happened

Simmonds Marshall released its Q2 FY27 results, reporting a standalone revenue of Rs 69.71 crore, up from Rs 54.80 crore in the same period last year. Profit After Tax (PAT) grew significantly to Rs 4.83 crore, compared to Rs 3.57 crore in Q2 FY26. The company also reported H1 FY27 revenue of Rs 130.68 crore, marking a healthy performance across the first half of the fiscal year.

Why this matters

The company is successfully scaling its operations while improving its financial health. A key highlight is the reduction in total borrowings from Rs 27.92 crore in March 2026 to Rs 21.49 crore by September 2026. This has brought the debt-to-equity ratio down to 0.33x from 0.48x, signaling a stronger balance sheet and reduced finance costs, which fell by 23.7% YoY.

Growth Drivers

The 2-Wheeler segment continues to be the primary revenue driver, contributing Rs 64.36 crore in H1 FY27. However, the Commercial Vehicles segment was the fastest growing, surging 42% YoY to reach Rs 27.11 crore. Additionally, the company is investing in future growth by expanding its cold-forming capacity from 12,000 MT to 15,000 MT per annum.

Risks to watch

While the company is expanding capacity, its future success remains tethered to demand from OEM clients. Maintaining high capacity utilization will be critical to justify the capital expenditure. Furthermore, the firm must continue to manage raw material price volatility to protect its 13% EBITDA margins.

What to track next

Investors should monitor the ramp-up of the expanded manufacturing facility and the company’s ability to sustain the growth momentum in the Commercial Vehicles and Export segments. Continued cash flow generation will be essential to sustain the ongoing deleveraging process.
