Rajshree Sugars' March 2026 Operations Show Mixed Trends
Rajshree Sugars & Chemicals Ltd reported mixed operational results for March 2026. The company crushed 190,653 metric tons (MTs) of sugarcane, a decrease from 202,401 MTs in March 2025. While sugar sales fell to 11,726 MTs from 17,148 MTs year-over-year, overall sugar production saw a modest increase to 19,389 MTs compared to 18,497 MTs in the previous year's March. Power generation, however, dropped significantly to 231.09 Lakh Units from 854.77 Lakh Units.
The company's Unit III in Villupuram District was a standout performer, reporting growth in cane crushed, sugar production, and sales. Unit I also saw improved sugar sales, though its cane crushing and production decreased. Unit II experienced reductions across most key metrics, including a notable drop in sales and power generation.
These figures reflect the operational dynamics of Rajshree Sugars' integrated manufacturing facilities in Tamil Nadu, which include sugar production, power co-generation, and ethanol distillation from molasses. The decline in sugar sales directly impacts revenue, while fluctuating power generation affects an important supplementary income source. The company's performance is influenced by agricultural cycles and sector-specific market conditions.
Investors will monitor future operational reports and upcoming financial results to gauge the company's performance trends, particularly the ongoing contribution from Unit III and potential impacts from broader industry factors such as government policies and weather patterns.
